Role Overview

We’re looking for a technically capable, highly organized, and detail-oriented operator to join the Operations team at NEAR Foundation. The role sits at the intersection of strategy and AI-driven execution — combining analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and hands-on delivery.

You’ll help the Foundation and broader NEAR ecosystem leverage AI to work smarter: reviewing operational processes, implementing automations, and using NEAR AI’s suite of products to streamline how teams operate.

The ideal candidate is conscientious, proactive, and comfortable switching between strategic coordination and tactical execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • AI Process Optimization: Review internal and ecosystem operational workflows to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains through AI — prioritizing the use of NEAR AI’s products wherever possible.
  • AI Product Feedback: Deploy NEAR AI’s suite of products for internal use, test them in real workflows, and provide clear, actionable feedback to improve their impact.
  • Program Tracking & Coordination: Work closely with the Operations Lead to monitor key initiatives and their project managers, ensuring priorities stay on track and information flows effectively to the Executive Team.
  • Data, Dashboards & Communication: Build and maintain dashboards, trackers, and Notion pages that surface key metrics, priorities, and updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify bottlenecks or gaps in operational processes and take ownership of implementing practical, data-backed improvements.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 3–5 years in consulting, big tech, or high-growth tech startups.
  • Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Skills & Qualities:
    • Strong attention to detail and follow-through; highly organized and dependable.
    • Excellent communicator — concise, structured, and effective across functions and levels.
    • Technically fluent; comfortable with AI tools, prompt engineering, and automation or scripting (“vibe coding”).
    • Analytical and data-driven; able to turn data into insights and insights into action.
    • Self-starter with a bias for ownership and problem-solving.

We value

  • ECOSYSTEM-FIRST: always put the health and success of the ecosystem above any individual's interest
  • OPENNESS: operate transparently and consistently share knowledge to build open communities
  • PRAGMATISM OVER PERFECTION: find the right solution not the ideal solution and beat dogmatism by openly considering all ideas
  • MAKE IT FEEL SIMPLE: strive to make the complex feel simple so the technology is accessible to all
  • GROW CONSTANTLY: learn, improve and fail productively so the project and community are always becoming more effective
