About The Opportunity

The Compliance function at OKX is responsible for the overall compliance culture at the company.

We are a team of risk-minded problem solvers who advise the business on the company’s regulatory obligations and enterprise risk. AML/CTF and Sanctions risk management is a core pillar of our Compliance programme and a key area of risk that we proactively seek to mitigate.

The position reports directly to the Head of Compliance, EMEA. This position is positioned under the Compliance department and will work in coordination with the Legal department regarding official letters/notifications.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading strategic direction, training, and advisory support about Compliance
• Developing and maintaining robust compliance policies, procedures, controls, and frameworks
• Ongoing maintenance of existing licenses, responding to legal and regulatory requests, and preparing for independent testing as required.
• Engaging cross-functionally (with groups such as Data, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Product, and Risk) to implement an effective compliance management program aligned with global standards and industry best practices.
• Planned for, monitored, and assessed compliance with local laws, regulations, policies, and similar types of regional regulation.
• Act as MLRO.
• Oversee compliance reviews and investigations.
• Prepare compliance reports, including reports to management and the board, and submit other materials as required by direct and matrix stakeholders on time.
• Assist with special projects as needed, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

What We Look For In You:

• University degree from related department
• Good command of English both verbal and written
• Proven experience working in a local Turkish Crypto Exchange under Turkish laws, regulations, and requirements.
• Familiarity with Law No: 5549, 5337 Regulation on Precautionary Measures, and relevant compliance requirements.
• Chainalysis KYT (Know Your Transaction) (CKC) and Reactor (CRC) certification
• Experience in regulatory audits conducted by MASAK
• Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, diplomatic and with excellent communication skills (verbal and in writing)
• Basic knowledge of internal control systems and documentation management.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Basic understanding of regulatory audit processes and licensing requirements.
• Proficiency in monitoring compliance databases and assisting in the implementation of compliance measures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Nice-To-Haves

• 5+ years experience in conducting AML/KYC related account activity analysis, due-diligence, and investigations in a financial services institution.
• Prior experience working in a multi-national or matrix environment.
• Prior experience working in the crypto industry.
• Familiarity with commonly used transaction monitoring & reporting tool(s), such as Chainalysis.
• Relevant industry certifications.
