About the Opportunity

As our Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of EEA's operations, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, while enhancing our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Be Doing

The role of COO (chief operating officer) is crucial in ensuring the EEA's long term goals are reflected in the smooth functioning of business operations. COO responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Regulatory compliance: Ensure adherence to local regulations and compliance requirements within the first line of defense by embedding regulatory standards into daily operations.
  • Resource management: Develop and manage the company resources, ensuring that all expenses are within budget.
  • Outsource management: Oversee and optimize relationships with third-party vendors to ensure cost efficiency and compliant operations within the first line of defense.
  • Performance and risk metrics monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational success and drive accountability. Perform regular reporting on risk posture to senior leadership and regulators with clarity and technical fluency,
  • Risk management: Identify, assess and manage operational, financial and regulatory risks within first line of defense with proper documentation in risk registers
  • Collaborate with other team members to align operational goals with the overall business strategy while supporting the CEO of Europe in achieving the company's vision.
  • Conducting in-depth analysis of operational expenses, and implementing strategies to reduce cost across various departments and functions.

What We Look For In You

  • Bachelor's degree with relevant experience in financial services.
  • Past experience of operational leader as first line of defense owner in a global regulated financial or fintech business with
  • Proven analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and a control mentality paired with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Self-driven quality and able to work under pressure with uncompromised integrity.
  • Strong organizational skills as well as the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with global members of cross-functional teams.
